Samaritans

Samaritan Ministries is a local agency downtown that serves the needs of the homeless in the Winston-Salem area. We are currently recruiting four groups

of six people to serve dinner and spend the night at Samaritan Inn on March 29, 30 and 31. Arrival time at Samaritan Inn is 6:15 PM. We will help serve dinner and clean up. Following that we attend a devotion time with the residents and shortly after that it is lights out. Then, in teams of two, you take turns watching the security cameras in two hour shifts. At 6:00 AM we help folks check out, serve breakfast, clean up and then we are out of there by 7:30 AM. Safe, clean and separate sleeping quarters are provided for the volunteers. It is a wonderful and rewarding way to serve the homeless in our area. This is open to men and women ages 17 and older. To sign up, click here.
